As we approach our 5th birthday, and circle our 1500th student, it’s time to start putting our money where our collective mouth is.

We’re big believers in doing our bit to improve the diversity of the tech community, but that can sometimes feel a little bit hollow when the course is only accessible to those with £8,000 to spare.

In reality, there are lots of smart people out there who don’t have that kind of money lying around.

We’re offering up to four scholarships through a new Fellowship program

This December, we’re continuing on our journey to make our coding course not only the most elite and competitive in Europe, but also the most diverse.

We are offering up to four lucky Fellows the chance to learn to code, for free, while also guaranteeing* a job as a junior software developer.

While the course typically costs £8,000, Makers Fellows will complete the course without any cost to the student.

When?

Applications are open from October 23rd until 11am on November 1st 2017 and can be accessed on www.makersacademy.com/fellowship/

Pre-course learning will take place remotely from November 20th 2017 to January 3rd 2018.

The course will take place from January 3rd to March 16th 2018 at Makers Academy, located in the heart of Tech City in London.

The Fellowship is open to all applications, but special attention will be paid to applicants from diverse backgrounds.
