I have a confession. I am a bit of a Snapchat addict — I find it to be a great way to get a candid view into someone’s life, not to mention how informative it can be to follow some of the more substantial accounts, like NASA, Sallia Goldstein or Justin Kan.

Recently, to celebrate London Technology Week, I spoke on a panel called “Talent + Gender + Ethnicity — where are the women of colour in tech?” — You can read more about it here.

I’ve been inspired by the women that I met that day, and the countless amazing women and minorities I meet here at Makers Academy every day, to create a Snapchat account celebrating #DiversityInTech. My hope is that the account will be taken over by women, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ, and anyone else who works in technology and wants to celebrate diversity.

The @DiversityInTech account (please add!) will be a chance for you to showcase to the world what your day is like, a chance for you to be the role model that you are and inspire more people to consider a career in technology.

If you qualify then please apply to take over the account!
